Why I Love Linux: FREE Sudoku Puzzle eBooks!

YES, telling you how to STOP PAYING MONEY for Sudoku puzzles.

  1. Burn a LiveCD of Ubuntu Linux
  2. Shut down your computer, boot from CD
  3. If the Sudoku app isn’t already installed, install it from the Ubuntu Software Center.
  4. Run the Sudoku app, hover your cursor over the menu at the top.
  5. Select Game > Print Multiple Sudokus…
  6. Customize your eBook and select the printer you want to use.

If you do not want to see the same puzzles over and over, please make sure that the options to mark the puzzles as played upon printing IS selected, and please make sure that the option to include already played puzzles in a print job is *not* selected. You will see these options available under the Game > Print Multiple Sudokus… menu bar selection.

The only downsides of using this app are that there is no option to print the solutions at the end of the eBook and the puzzles are not labeled with a unique ID number.  The only way to print the solution is to select a difficulty level, play a puzzle, and then hit the Print Puzzle option after you’re finished winning & all the pretty colors flash.

Still… free puzzle eBooks are nothing to sneeze at – Sudoku fanatics can pay up to $20 for a book with 300 or more puzzles.  Why pay when you can print?
